…of my new website, of this blog and of the whole life to which we all need to adapt due to the current situation in the world.
In my very first post I would like to greet all my present and future subscribers. Thank you for your interest and support!
Teddy bear making means a lot to me. I was attracted by it during my pregnancy, when, as it often happens with expectant mothers, I was in search for some pleasant distractions, pastime and extra earnings. In those years it was difficult to find information, courses and materials, especially in Italy. So little by little I started to build my own teddy world by myself, from creating one-of-a-kind creatures to selling professional supplies.
For almost 10 years I’ve been trying to convey my love for this hobby through unique colours in Italian viscose fur, dyeing it by hand and ‘by soul’. The Italian viscose is a high-quality and very versatile fabric that allows to obtain many different effects and styles: it can be smooth, curly or fluffy; short-pile or long-pile; matt or shiny; it is easy to work with and particularly suitable to be aged for vintage and old look. All these viscose features make my creative heart beat faster and stir my lazy inspiration, and I would love to spread such emotions to my clients as well.
This blog in particular can become an additional way of sharing my passion for teddy bears. I plan to post some useful information here, regarding techniques, materials, interesting facts and tips. I will dedicate a bit of space to some important news too, without insisting on advertising. But if you would like to be among the first to know about the new arrivals and hand dyed pieces, please follow me on instagram: @studioannagalli.
In conclusion, I would like to confirm that despite increasing prices for energy, raw materials and, as a result, for the fabric itself, I will try to keep my retail prices as low and for the longest period as possible. Being able to work directly with Italian factories allows me to offer the most convenient prices for the viscose and thus more possibilities for you to create.
Happy Easter!
Yours,
Anna
